Karen Hara s First Photobook: Shining Even Brighter Since Graduating from Her Idol Group This is the first photobook by Karen Hara, who graduated from NMB48 in November 2024 and is now active as an influencer. In this book, where she boldly bares her skin, the 25-year-old fully showcases her perfect body." The photoshoot took place in Bali. The team rented out a resort hotel with easy access to Bali s beautiful beaches and a villa in Ubud featuring an infinity pool surrounded by tropical plants. The book features a wide variety of shots from stylish shots that highlight her model-like figure… and long legs, a result of her tall 169-centimeter stature, to bold, mature shots. She even tries on a string thong and goes braless for the first time; while the photos are quite revealing, the photo book maintains a refreshing atmosphere. The cover features a shot of her in red lingerie a string T-back that makes her skin stand out even more. The title, Direct Hit," was actually conceived by Karen herself during the shoot. [Comment from Karen Hara] I ve been dreaming of a photo book like this ever since I was an active idol. But I just couldn t bring myself to say it out loud. After graduating from NMB48, seeing current members release their own photobooks or other idols and celebrities do the same made me envious. I d think, Why couldn t I just say it? Maybe I could have been given that chance," and while I felt a bit dumbfounded, I d resigned myself to it. That s when KADOKAWA reached out to me. A year and a half had already passed since I graduated, and while I was anxious wondering, Will anyone even pick this up?" the feelings I hadn t quite given up on began to bubble up inside me. So I replied, Please make my dream of a photo book come true!" I traveled from Osaka on my own for numerous meetings whenever my schedule allowed, and they listened to all my ideas. They also prepared a huge variety of outfits for me. This has been a turning point in my life, and I hope this book becomes a special keepsake that reflects that!
